Diwali celebration in the class

PEC Activity: To understand the concept of half in fractions.

Two circles were made named as Station 1 And Station 2. In station 1 a set of cards with some even numbers were put. And in station 2 another set of cards were put on which half of the previous numbers is being written. Now students came one by one, pick one card from station, find its half from station 2 and came back to their places.

Lab Activity : To understand equivalent fractions by making flower using 5 strips of paper.

Students took 3 strips of one colour and 2 strips of some different colour. They pasted them on a white sheet of paper to make a flower. They learnt that three-fifith of the flower is of one colour and two-fifth of the flower is of different colour.

Lab activity of maths

Dropping division sums in appropriate jars.

Three jars were taken on which numbers 2, 3 and 6 were written. Now some slips were made on which some division sums were written like 18/6, 10/2, 15/5 and so on. These slips were distributed to children. They came one by one,speak out the problem written on their slip, speak out the answer and put their slips in the appropriate jars.

PEC Activity in Maths.

Learning multiplication tables using flash cards.

One group of students were distributed one set of flash cards on which problem of multiplication was written. Another group was distributed another set of cards on which answer to those problems were written. They have fun while learning tables by finding their partners. The class then told their question as well as answer one by one.
